Straight Hair’s a Pity

Baltimore, Maryland

Baltimore, Maryland

There once was a girl in the city,

Whose curls were said to be pretty.

When I found her that day,

There was nothing to say,

Except that my straight hair’s a pity!

A Stack of Books

Baltimore, Maryland

A stack of books,
In front of me.
Lots of fun when
Read by Mommy.
She acts funny as she talks,
I’ve even watched her show me
How a monkey walks!
She sounds funny when she speaks,
She barks and moos, and sometimes squeaks!
She wonders why I want to read them,
So many times a day.
Well, all you have to do is watch her—what else can I say?
